Traveling to Paris

Back in Feburary of this year, I went to Paris with my mother to go antique shopping. Paris is one of my two absolute favorite cities in the entire world, next to Manhattan. This was my third time in Paris, once with my Dad, and once with a group of student travelers.

I had just begun taking pictures in the Summer of 2006 when I first went to Paris, and thought that if I could make the resolution low on the photos that the memory card would hold more pictures. Yes, I did take some great pictures, but they wouldn't look their best on an 8x10 print, so I only have them on 5x7 prints.

My second time in Paris, my photography was flourishing as I had been to New York and had experience in Central Park for a day as well on the streets. We had more opportunities as a student group for photos, especially being a small group of students. On that trip I took the Jacques Goes Boating print, the From the Arc print, the I Never Met A Rose Print, and finally the Musee du Louvre Print. You can find links to these all below.

My third and most recent time in Paris was in Feburary. My mother owns an Antique shop here in Birmingham and she travels to France often to buy from the antique flea markets there (such as Marche de Paul Bert). We also had leisure time to spend here where I spent my spare time taking some great photos. The ones in my Etsy shop from here are I Wonder Who Lives Here and Eiffel. Here I experimented with different lighting styles, and perspectives--especially when photographing the Eiffel Tower because you can only get a full shot of it from below.

What an amazing opportunity to get to travel to Paris with your Mom to go antiquing. That must have been amazing! How long did you stay? I've only been to Paris once but hope to go back again and again in future. I truly love Paris too... what an amazing city! I also love NYC and have been there many times. We have the two top favorite cities! Great minds... :)
